Privacy Policy

What information we collect when you request a quote or use this website, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. Written plainly, because you should not need a lawyer to read it.

1.Introduction

OLAH Services LLC (“OLAH Services,” “we,” “us” or “our”) provides commercial cleaning, janitorial and building maintenance services from our base in Aurora, IL. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect through https://www.olahservices.com, how we use and share it, and the choices available to you.

By using this website or submitting a request through it, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the site. This policy is incorporated into our Terms & Conditions.

2.Information we collect

Information you provide directly

When you request a quote, contact us, or become a client, we collect the information you choose to give us, which typically includes:

  • Your name and the name of your company or organization
  • Your email address and telephone number
  • Facility details — property or facility type, approximate square footage, service needs, preferred service frequency and the address of the property to be serviced
  • Any other information you include in the message field or in subsequent correspondence
  • For clients, billing and account information necessary to invoice and service the account

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, our hosting provider and infrastructure automatically record limited technical information when you visit, which may include your IP address, browser type and version, device type, operating system, referring page, the pages you view and the date and time of your visit. We use this to keep the site secure, diagnose problems and understand aggregate usage.

Information we do not collect through this website

We do not request or knowingly collect Social Security numbers, government identification numbers, financial account credentials, health information or biometric identifiers through this website. Do not submit that information through the quote form.

Biometric information. This website does not collect, capture or store biometric identifiers or biometric information as those terms are defined by the Illinois Biometric Information Privacy Act, 740 ILCS 14 (“BIPA”). If OLAH Services uses any biometric timekeeping or access system in the course of employment or at a client site, that use is governed by a separate written BIPA notice, retention schedule and consent provided directly to the affected individuals, not by this website policy.

3.How we use your information

We use the personal information we collect to:

  • Respond to quote requests, schedule on-site walkthroughs and prepare written scopes of work and pricing
  • Provide, schedule, supervise and invoice the cleaning and maintenance services you engage us for
  • Communicate with you about your account, service visits, inspections, scheduling changes and service issues
  • Maintain records required for insurance, safety, quality assurance and regulatory or client-audit purposes
  • Improve our website, services and internal training, and analyze aggregate usage trends
  • Detect, prevent and respond to fraud, abuse, security incidents and other unlawful activity
  • Comply with our legal obligations and enforce our agreements

We may send you marketing communications about our services only where permitted by law. You can opt out at any time using the unsubscribe link in any marketing email or by contacting us directly. Opting out of marketing does not stop transactional messages about an active service account.

4.Cookies and similar technologies

Our website is built to function without advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. We may use strictly necessary cookies and similar local storage to keep the site working correctly and secure.

If we later add analytics or marketing technologies, we will update this policy and, where required, provide a cookie notice and consent mechanism. You can control cookies through your browser settings; blocking them may affect site functionality.

Do Not Track. Our site does not respond to browser “Do Not Track” signals, because no common industry standard for those signals has been adopted.

5.How we share information

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We disclose personal information only in the following circumstances:

  • Service providers. Vendors who perform functions on our behalf — website hosting, email delivery, scheduling and accounting software, and professional advisors — and who are permitted to use the information only to provide services to us
  • Our personnel. Employees and supervisors who need the information to quote, schedule, perform or inspect services
  • Legal requirements. When we reasonably believe disclosure is required by law, subpoena, court order or governmental request, or is necessary to protect the rights, property or safety of OLAH Services, our clients, our employees or the public
  • Insurance and claims. With our insurers, brokers and legal counsel in connection with a claim, incident or audit
  • Business transfers. In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing or sale of all or part of our business, subject to the recipient honoring this policy
  • With your direction. Any other disclosure you authorize

6.How long we keep information

We keep personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including to service an account, maintain business and insurance records, resolve disputes and comply with our legal obligations.

  • Quote requests that do not become accounts are generally retained for up to twenty-four (24) months
  • Client account, service and billing records are generally retained for the duration of the relationship and for a period afterward consistent with applicable statutes of limitation and tax requirements
  • Aggregated or de-identified information that can no longer reasonably be linked to you may be retained indefinitely

7.How we protect information

We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, use, alteration and disclosure. These include encrypted transmission of website form submissions, access controls limiting information to personnel who need it, and background screening of our employees.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. In the event of a breach of the security of personal information as defined by the Illinois Personal Information Protection Act, 815 ILCS 530 (“PIPA”), we will provide notification to affected Illinois residents and to any other parties in the manner and within the timeframes that statute requires.

8.Your choices and rights

Regardless of where you live, you may contact us at olah.services@yahoo.com to:

  • Ask what personal information we hold about you
  • Request that we correct inaccurate information
  • Request deletion of information we are not required to retain for legal, insurance, contractual or record-keeping reasons
  • Unsubscribe from marketing communications

Illinois residents

Illinois has not enacted a comprehensive consumer data privacy statute granting general access and deletion rights. Illinois law does, however, give residents specific protections that we honor, including under BIPA (740 ILCS 14) with respect to biometric identifiers, PIPA (815 ILCS 530) with respect to data-breach notification and the disposal of records containing personal information, the Illinois Right of Publicity Act (765 ILCS 1075) with respect to the commercial use of a person’s identity, and the Artificial Intelligence Video Interview Act (820 ILCS 42) with respect to any use of AI analysis in video job interviews. We voluntarily extend the access, correction and deletion requests described above to Illinois residents.

Residents of other states

If you reside in a state with a comprehensive consumer privacy law — such as California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia or Texas — you may have additional rights, including rights to access, correct, delete and obtain a portable copy of your personal information, to opt out of sale or targeted advertising (which we do not conduct), and to be free from discrimination for exercising those rights. Submit a request using the contact details below and we will verify and respond as required by applicable law.

9.Children’s privacy

Our website and services are directed to businesses and property owners, not to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under sixteen (16) years of age. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

10.Third-party websites

Our website may link to third-party sites, including social media profiles. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content or privacy practices. Review the privacy policy of any third-party site you visit.

11.Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Material changes will be highlighted on this page or communicated directly where required by law. Your continued use of the website after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
